About Rofino Licuco

As the owner of an award-winning development company, Rofino Licuco leverages more than two decades of project financing and management experience to oversee residential and commercial builds in his home country of Mozambique. He also develops clean energy projects, including solar and wind farms, and invests in technology companies. Rofino Licuco manages his investments and developments through his company VBC Corporation.

 

Mr. Licuco has built several residential and commercial properties in Mozambique, but considers the VBC Energy Towers as his greatest achievement. He is particularly passionate about clean energy and sustainable development and, complementing his company's prior projects, is working on feasibility studies for further solar developments in Mozambique. Mr. Licuco believes his generation has the potential to make a difference in the country and is highly motivated to achieve that goal.

 

As a testament to his pursuit of excellence, Rofino Licuco's company received a pair of awards at a Paris conference in 2012. Supported by the QC100 Total Quality Management Model, VBC earned recognition for its commitment to quality and an International Gold Star for Quality in areas including customer satisfaction and innovation.

 

A member of the alumni network at the University of Oxford, Rofino Licuco completed the executive real estate program at the university’s Said Business School. He has additional training in accounting, management, and building design. He is involved with multiple social responsibility initiatives, including the OBRA DOM ORIONE Institution, which provides housing and care services for children with special needs, and is a fan of the football team Clube de Desportos da Maxaquene in Maputo. His other interests include reading and spending time with friends.
